With average speed of 15 km/h, 90 kilometers by bike is a 6 hours long journey. Include in this beautiful scenery and landscapes, educational trail with natural, historical and cultural sights, and go bike riding without limits from Antunovac to Pécs.
The completion of the last 3,9 kilometers of bike paths, from settlements Ivanovac to Antunovac and Osijek, Municipality Antunovac has joined this unique cycling route to Pecs through implementation of the project “Development of cycling routes Pécs-Osijek-Antunovac-Ivanovac”
The project, worth EUR 1,013,357.97, in terms of biking without limits, is 85% of the funds co-financed by the European Union through Hungary – Croatia IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme. It is implemented by Municipality Antunovac with partners, the Association for Environmental Protection Green Osijek, Pecs Development Agency and NGO Geoscience, networking the cycling routes and connecting them to already existing routes between Hungary and Croatia.
The implementation of the project created a great tourism product for the region, which in continental Croatia has recorded a growing potential for rural tourism. The path was completed aiming for sustainable management and protection of the environment in the border region, and Croatia and Hungary received a total of 19 marked tourist, cultural and historical attractions, of which in the Municipality ANTUNOVAC are: Falco cherrung, lat., historic monument from the 13th century Fortress Korođvar, and the route to the paddock horse Lipizzaner breed. In addition to the area Antunovac path is equipped with landing and horizontal and vertical signaling.
All partners of Cross-Border Bike project believe that the inhabitants of the region will enjoy the cycling routes and will start bike riding without limits!
